Frequently asked questions

The most common questions we get from our clients

PRE TAN CARE - PREP INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Exfoliate at least 24 hours in advance.
    • It’s crucial to come in with exfoliated skin so there are no leftover dead skin cells on your body. You can use an exfoliating mitt, a dry brush, a scrub, or a rough surface washcloth. This includes waxing as well. Please do not book your tan the same day as a fresh wax.
  2. Moisturize, Moisturize, Moisturize.
    • Be sure to moisturize as frequently as possible during the week/days leading up to your tan. This ensures your skin will hold your tan for as long as possible.
  3. Shave at least 12 hours in advance.
    • Shaving is a form of exfoliation. You can still shave very lightly after the tan. We just want to be sure that the ingredients in your shaving products do not linger on the skin prior to the appointment. Your tan can become streaky and blotchy if you shave within 12 hours before your tan.
  4. Be sure to have clean, dry skin.
    • We recommend having absolutely nothing on your skin before the tan. This includes makeup, lotion, deodorant and perfume.
  5. Bring a hair tie.
    • We prefer your hair pulled back so that you can wear the provided hair net during the service.
  6. A disposable thong, hair net and sticky feet will be provided for you.
    • Women are welcome to go full nude during the appointment. If you prefer to stay covered, you’re welcome to wear pasties, a swimsuit or any other garments you prefer. Men MUST stay covered - boxers, briefs or swim trunks will do just fine.
  7. Have loose, long clothing for after your appointment.
    • We recommend a loose long sleeve shirt, loose long shorts or pants, long dresses and flip flops. We want to avoid as much skin to skin contact as possible. NO bras or tight tops after the tan. This will cause marks on your skin. NO socks or closed toe shoes unless it’s raining.
  8. In the event it is raining, please bring an umbrella and a jacket with a hood and something to cover your feet.
  9. ALL other appointments should be completed before the tan.
    • This includes massages, facials, manicures/pedicures, lashes and waxing.
  10. Do NOT come sunburnt.
    • our tan will peel with your skin, leaving you very blotchy.
